This is essentially a Prime Jet 8, it is made from 1/4 inch insulation foam. The Hobbyking Prime Jet Kit pieces were traced onto the foam then cut out replicating the original kit. It comes out extremely close to the original plans. Hobbyking acquired the ability to market this from the original designer, so that makes this a clone of a clone if you will.
The setup is a 1700kv hxt 2730 Blue Wonder type motor, APC e 6x4 prop, 3s 850mah Turnigy Nanotec (with jst main connector), hxt 900 servos, FMS 20a esc, Frsky Taranis.
I had two washers in the nose on the initial hop which proved too much. Removing them brought the cg into range. It is still a touch nose heavy and the pack can go back in small increments to tune it.
The conditions were just ok for a maiden but the plane was easy to handle in the wind.
