Project 'Tornado Genesis: Multiple Vortices' investigates the conditions that favor the formation of multiple vortices. I have designed and constructed a large-scale tornado machine generator for the operation of a 7.5 foot tall tornado. This machine provides all the necessary variables to conduct my experiments and its design allows for the application of an important parameter called the swirl ratio (important for determining vortex structure and ultimately observing multiple vortices upon reaching a critical value).
