Testing my little POS ProtoX FPV micro.
I had the SD card on board the micro which causes lag in the video transmission, so I was mostly flying line of site until it got up high enough that I lost sight of it and then I lost 5.8Ghz video feed to my screen. Managed to save it by guessing which direction to go.
This thing needs PID adjustment bad! (too bad you can't actually adjust anything on it) it gets all kinda crazy with oscillation and at one point tumbles because it is trying too hard to correct itself while descending I thought for sure I was going to lose it in a tree or a bad crash from high altitude, but it finally stabilized and I managed to land it with full throttle. It is seriously that underpowered for its weight. Motors are overworked and not enough thrust for the weight of it. They get pretty hot. Replaced all 4 motors already within two days of having it under normal easy flying conditions. New motors seem to be holding up much better than the originals that came in it.
