I decided to have at the Texan again. I maidened it a long time ago, and quite franky felt fortunate that it got it up, around, and down. Winds were light from the south, and it flew smoothly all around the pattern. I felt comfortable on all stages, and it held in great, but the landing was a bit more adventurous than I would have liked. On my list of things to do is to get lower earlier and bleed off in ground effect more and then get the jab done so I don't get that nasty bounce. I also need to figure out if I can idle it down without hurting stability. It could have been a mess if I had not given it a big jab after that bounce to get another shot at settling in. I also ought to see about making the runway next time, but I'm actually glad I missed as that bounce might have been even more severe.
