I'd been asked to compare these two trucks side by side, no better way to do this than to shoot a video...
The specifications are as follows:
RC4WD TF2 Marlin crawler edition:
1. Lower leaf spring removed to decrease stiffness.
2. Springs from shocks removed, again to decrease stiffness.
3. O-Ring modification to leaf springs - See my other videos!
4. Only cosmetic but I've added an interior - See my other videos.
5. Again cosmetic - Added wheel arch inner fenders.
6. chino mod.
7. Lastly, 80g ~3oz weight added to each wheel.
Other than this its running stock running gear, electronics, wheels and tyres.
Axial SCX10ii
1. Custom cage for mounting the body and rear shock top mounts.
2. All SCX10ii except for RC4WD yota 2 axles and custom links.
3. Tamiya body with bobbed bed similar to the marlin crawler.
4. Hobbywing 1080 ESC in "as shipped" settings.
5. Savox 231 waterproof servo.
6. 1.9 Alloy Method beadlock wheels with VooDoo KLR MT-X tyres
7. 6. Lastly, 80g ~3oz weight added to each wheel.
Both trucks are running a 45 turn RC4WD motor and were using a 5800mah traxxas LiPo.
Tyres on both trucks are "run in" but still very new.
Weather: Freezing cold somewhere around 4°C that's 39°F
Ice on the ground, most of the mud frozen too, everything very slippery!
