1:36 am EDT (05:36 UTC) - "Abort" command given; Soyuz backs away from ISS
Attempted docking of an unpiloted Soyuz MS-14 Spacecraft to the International Space Station. It was launched by a Soyuz 2.1a rocket on Aug 21 from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan. Aboard the craft is FEDOR, also called Skybot F-850, a humanoid robot. As it approached the ISS, the Soyuz was unable to lock onto its target due to an issue with the KURS automated docking system. Since this unmanned flight did not have a TORU backup docking system either, an "Abort" command was issued by the cosmonauts on the ISS. Soyuz withdrew from the ISS to a safe distance. On Aug 25, 3 ISS crew moved the Soyuz MS-13 spacecraft from the Zvezda module to the Poisk module. On Aug 26 at 11:12 pm EDT, they will attempt to dock MS-14 to the Zvezda module.
