A new study shows there are 35 "super-rich" Koreans in the country, with assets worth over one-trillion won... or 9-hundred-68-million U.S. dollars.
Among them, less than one-third were self-made,... the rest inherited their wealth, according to local market research firm Chaebul-dot-com.
Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun-hee is the richest person in Korea... with his personal wealth amounting to 13-billion dollars.
Of those who amassed their own fortunes... real-estate tycoon Lee Jung-geun of Booyoung Group, was the wealthiest with assets worth 1-point-8-billion dollars.
As for the combined wealth of Korea's 4-hundred richest people... the figure totaled 178-billion dollars as of late July.
