One of the things that make Chile such a good place for a Road trip is the fact the country can be done in linear fashion. You can pick up your car in a city and drop it in another one. A main Highway goes though Chile from north to south and all great things to see are always close to the high way considering the country averages a 177 km from east to west. Chile also has amazing roads (from my Canadian point of view) which reduces the time spent driving and maximizes activities. This is especially shocking when arriving from countries like Bolivia where a few kilometers can take hours of Bus.
