Wire is taken off spool using a 5000 lb capacity motorized wire payoff system. From the wire payoff the material is fed through our custom rotary straightener. Within the rotary straightener the arbor spins at high rates of speed around the wire. This method allows us to achieve a high degree of straightness. The wire straightening dies are arranged to be adjustable during continuous operational rotation. The arbor speeds can be easily controlled using the variable frequency control box.
Straightened wire then exits the rotary and enters the machine feed system. The four roll feed drive with Pneumatic feed roll grip is custom ground to pull material into the cutter head without marking wire. Quill on quill cutter head shears wire leaving minimal burr while holding length toleranes of +/- .005".
