After not travelling to my favorite slopes to maiden this nearly 12 foot wingspan model sailplane (graupner kit from the 1970's) I finally decided to take the maiden slope flight at my home hill. Wearing a Go-Pro cam on my head, and with a friend on my pentax camera I took the plunge. Have flown it off the high start before but this was it's true first soaring flight. Outstanding flight characteristics. The model did not want to come down. I have to get used to the scale like wing flex but over time this plane will be one of my favorites at the slope...
