In dieser spezial Mitfahrt von Mannheim Hbf nach Heidelberg Hbf fahren wir als zuerst als RE 1, dann zurück als RE 14 über den Mannheimer Rangierbahnhof.
Die Fahrt über den Rangierbahnhof ist für Personenzüge eher selten und wird deshalb nur als Umleitungsstrecke im Zuge von Betriebsstörungen oder wie in dem Film wegen Bauarbeiten zwischen Mannheim Hbf und dem Haltepunkt Mannheim-Friedrichfeld Süd genutzt.
Der Mannheimer Rangierbahnhof ist der 2. größte in Deutschland und ein wichtiger Knotenpunkt für den Güterverkehr in Europa, da er an einer der wichtigsten Trans europäischen Güteverkehrsstrecken in Nord - Süd Richtung liegt.
Die Tonaussetzer sind von mir gewollt.

In this special Cabride from Mannheim main station to Heidelberg main station we drive first as RE 1 service, then back as RE 14 service via the Mannheim marshalling yard.
The journey via the marshalling yard is rather rare for passenger trains and is therefore only used as a detour route in the event of operational disruptions or, as in the film, because of construction work between Mannheim main station and the Mannheim-Friedrichfeld south stop.
The Mannheim marshalling yard is the second largest in Germany and an important hub for freight traffic in Europe, as it is located on one of the most important trans-European freight transport routes in north-south direction.
The sound dropouts are what I wanted.
