Not only does this have the cutout on the side to access the ports, SD card and side mic, it also has a small opening in the top for the top mic. It's a well thought out case, fits like a glove and will provide heaps more protection than the standard frame housing. I use it for tame laps vids that require an external battery for the long shooting times. Works great for this and is also great if you're looking for some protection and want the best sound possible from the built in mics.
