ScanLister Video Tour - A Volume Listing Tool for Amazon Sellers
Hey, this is Nathan of ScanLister and for this video I’m just going to show a quick tour of all the features in the software.
I’m going to go ahead and scan a few books here.
As you can see, after every scan it does give you a picture. It does show you the title, the author, the publisher, the binding, the product group, whether it’s a book, CD, DVD, etc., and also the sales rank. If you’re going to be scanning books, make sure you have ISBN selected here. If you’re going to scan CDs, DVDs, toys and videogames, make sure you have UPC selected right there.
Here are all the products after I scanned. If you need to, you can click it and edit something right here. It’s completely up to you.
Let’s go over to the condition notes. You can save some condition notes that you use the most here. ScanLister comes with about five of them – if you want to add your own, go ahead and select ‘Manage Conditions’ and you can type in your own right here. Here are the different conditions to pick from such as ‘Good’, ‘Like New’, ‘Very Good’, etc.
Here is the default price. When you’re listing, you can set a price, whatever you want to. It’s recommended that you use an automatic re-pricer so you don’t have to spend too much time pricing each item. But if you don’t want to use a re-pricer you can go ahead and you can put your prices right here. You can change this to whatever you want and so forth.
The quantity is right here. The cost per unit – if you need to keep track of the cost per unit, just enter that there and it will show up right here as price per unit and you can export this later on if you need to keep track of that.
Here is the SKU Prefix. Right now it just says Speedlist but you can pick whatever you want. Here is the SKU Suffix right here.
When you’re done listing all you have to do is just press ‘List on Amazon’ right here and it will go to your Amazon account. If you’re a merchant-fulfilled lister just select ‘merchant fulfilled’. If you’re an FBA, select ‘fulfilled by Amazon’. Actually, if you’re FBA, you can choose either one, fulfilled by merchant or fulfilled by Amazon because once you get to Amazon it’s pretty easy to convert it to FBA. It really doesn’t matter which one you pick right here.
If you already have a bunch of ISBNs and you just want to import your list into ScanLister, you can just select ‘Import’ and just find your Excel with all the ISBN numbers.
If you need to export this data, go ahead and click ‘Export’ and you can have everything in the Excel file right here that was on ScanLister if you want to keep track of that. For example, you have the rank right here and you have the SKU number so you can go back and see what the rank was when the book sold. That’s kind of handy right there.
Let’s see here.
If you want to clear the entire list, you can do that. Just click this. If you want to delete some rows, just select a row and select ‘Delete’ on your keyboard and that will delete it.
Let’s go to ‘Options’. You can show product information, that’s automatic. The default is checked. If you don’t want to see product information, just unselect it, click update and the scanning will go a bit faster because it won’t have to connect to Amazon after every scan. You can see it’s a bit faster. However, you won’t be able to see the product information after every scan and it won’t keep track of the title and the rank right here as well. That’s completely up to you. If you want to see product information just have that checked.
If you need to put in your tax code you can put it right here. ScanLister also has a minimum and maximum price. I just put mine at a min prince of one and a max price of ten thousand. What that does is it will prevent Amazon from deactivating your listings if they think you have a price too high. It’s just recommended to put some sort of a minimum and a maximum price in there.
I believe that is all for the tour. If you have any questions, please send an email to
[email protected]. Thanks for watching this video!
