Scarabeo 9 is the most powerful ultra deepwater semisubmersible drilling unit ever built. The rig is of the Frigstad D90 design developed by Frigstad Engineering Ltd and is tailor made for efficient operations in ultra deep water, capable of drilling in water depths of up to 12,000ft.
