Third day of our hunt we decided to check out a new valley. As soon as we got in there I spotted a big cow moose. knowing the rut was just getting fired up I figured there had to be some bulls close. Sure enough after a little more glassing I spotted two bulls with cows across the valley in a couple of clear cuts. I tried a few cow calls and even though they were grunting and seemed very interested they did not want to leave their cows and come across. So Tony, my son Troy, and I headed into the bottom after them. On the way there we stopped to take a breather. We were surprised when we heard a bull grunting in the bottom with us. The video tells the rest of the story! WHAT A RUSH!!!
We ended up sweating bullets for the next six days after passing this incredible bull. The rut was very weak this year but we were rewarded on the last day with a BOONE AND CROCKETT BULL OVER 200 INCHES! Video will be uploaded to my channel as soon as I am done editing it. I LOVE MOOSE HUNTING!!!
