SCP-3008 is an ordinary IKEA retail store on the outside, but inside lies SCP-3008-1 — a seemingly endless, self-contained space filled with IKEA furniture, lighting, and mock showrooms. The layout does not follow the laws of known geometry or physics, and the exit is extremely difficult to locate once inside.
Within SCP-3008-1, humanoid entities known as SCP-3008-2, or "the staff," patrol the area. These entities wear IKEA-like uniforms and have no facial features. They are generally passive during the day, but become hostile after closing hours, often repeating phrases such as “The store is now closed” while pursuing individuals.
Many civilians have become trapped inside and remain unable to escape. Over time, they have constructed shelters and small communities using store materials. These groups survive by scavenging food from in-store restaurants and avoiding contact with the staff during nighttime hours.
SCP-3008 continues to be under observation by the Foundation, though its full internal structure remains uncharted.
