This video demonstrates how the control surfaces will operate with a quad flap airplane, using an Airtronics SD10G radio.
Aileron Rate Switch 7, 8, 9
Switch 9 - low rate dual ailerons
Switch 8 - high rate dual ailerons
Switch 7 - high rate ailerons coupled with flaps
Flight Mode Switch 10, 11, 12
Switch 10 - normal flight mode
Switch 11 - flaps with set position
Switch 12 - crow
In flap and crow modes, the elevator is slaved to flaps, and provides 10% (approx) down elevator. Since the normal mode, flap mode, and crow mode each store separate elevator trim settings, the plane can be leveled out in flight for each of these 3 modes.
The dual or quad flap aileron settings are operative in all 3 flight modes, as demonstrated.
Flap Flight Mode
Flaps go down a fixed percentage, but the ailerons continue to operate normally. When the aileron rate switch is moved to position 7, the ailerons and flaps move together when banking in a turn.
Crow Flight Mode
As above for Flap Flight Mode, but the ailerons are reflexed upwards. When the aileron rate switch is moved to position 7, the ailerons and flaps move together when banking in a turn as above, but with the ailerons biased to a reflex position.
