Why is there no "Rendez-Vous Shanghai/Pudong" by Jean Michel Jarre? - the backdrop is perfect.
I can only say the night skyline of Shanghai, or more precisely Pudong, is absolutely stunning. The French have a great expression - bouche bée - that indicates tremendous surprise. The person is so astonished that she/he is standing open-mouthed and staring at the source of the surprise. That is how I felt upon seeing the full splendour of the Shanghai Waterfront at night. And while I am speaking of the French - they are masters of the Sound and Light Show. It reminds me of the spectacular sound and light show that my favorite musician Jean MichelJarre put on In 1985. Jarre was invited by the musical director of the Houston Grand Opera to perform a concert celebrating Texas's 150th anniversary. The result was the celebrated album "Rendez-Vous Houston". Check it out on You Tube for a listen. In conclusion the Shanhai/Pudong night skyline has all the the "Light" but no "Sound" other than the oooos and aaaahs of the spectators viewing the light show.
