Our 150 shops, galleries and boutiques along historic Main Street -- also called Hauptstrasse -- may be the most famous, but there are incredible finds throughout Fredericksburg and Gillespie County too.
On Main Street you'll find everything from clothing and jewelry to custom boots, from home décor and furnishings to fine art galleries, and from toys and books to specialty foods.
Around downtown and throughout the city and county, more treasures are to be found. We have a museum store of WWII-themed merchandise, an antiques district, German imports and clothing, quilting supplies and even a wildseed farm that carries everything from seeds and plants to boutique clothing and jewelry.
Throughout the year, Fredericksburg also hosts special shopping events. Fredericksburg Trade Days happens the third weekend of every month. Plus we have the other themed shopping events that feature items such as crafts, antiques, Indian artifacts and fine art.
