SKATEBOARDING Los Angeles explores the very storied and sometimes misunderstood skateboarding subculture, specifically in Los Angeles. SKATEBOARDING Los Angeles is filmed on location at several skateparks and skate spots in the greater Los Angeles area. Such locations include Santa Monica, Venice, Pacoima, and our very own Santa Clarita Valley. Interviews were conducted with several skateboarders—young and old—to learn of their opinions of why they skateboard and their thoughts on the mainstream public's perception of skateboarding. Our film also tackles issues of the legality of skateboarding, accessibility of skateboarding, and the overall influence of skateboarding.
