As part of the City of Austin’s pitch to the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) for the $40 million technology Smart City grant, the City of Austin submitted this technical video to demonstrate Austin’s 21st century transportation solutions. As part of this Smart City Challenge, another $10 million grant potential is being offered by Vulcan Inc. for electrification of vehicles. Austin is among seven finalist cities competing for the grant and prize of leading the nation in “Smart City” technologies.
