Smoothieboard using CW5045 ( at 24V and 1/64 microstepping ) drivers to run a cheap 6040 chinese CNC machine.
The Gcode was generated with Cambam, the part cut is a groovemount for reprap hotends ( intended for an aluminatus printer ) with additional holes for fan attachment. The milling cutter used is TiAlN-coated so we can use it at the high speed/feedrates the router uses.
Feedrate is 1000 mm/minute, spindle speed is 35K RPM, depth per pass is 0.5mm, and acceleration is 200mm/m².
This time everything went very well, see the finished part at the end. Total cut time was about 3 minutes, which is pretty impressive, did not expect to get that fast so soon.
