Solo 3DR drone loses GPS, automatically enters manual mode then flies backwards out of control and crashes. I have around 10 to 12 hours of flight time with this drone and never had a GPS disconnect or anything like this before. As soon as I took off I started to increase altitude when the controller tells me that GPS has been disconnected. Solo hovers for a second then starts flying backwards and does not respond to any of my thumb sticks. I hit the pause button and nothing happens, the fear sets in... Solo continues to fly away and I have no control what so ever. I hold the land button and the controller says; LAND but it does not land straight down it tries to land flying down at a 45 degree angle and crashes. I cant imagine what would have happened if I was in a crowded area! I had no control and could only watch as it flew away on its own!
