ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Vintage Sony Closed Loop Dual Capstan TC-765 F&F Reel to Reel Tape Deck made in the late 70's thru early 80's with New belts, all mechanics have been dis-assembled, cleaned and re-lubricated as well as the volume pots and electronic switches have been cleaned with De-Oxit D5, then after a 24 hour dry, Lubricated with De-Oxit Fader lube for scratch free clean operation. This deck works as it was designed and has been thoroughly tested after the service for hours on end.
High Serial Number on this machine as well. Power Supply has been fully re-capped using Nichicon Audio grade caps and a few Elna SILMIC II's.
This is 2 Channel, 4 Track Deck. 3 Heads, 3 motors, and High performance Ferrite Heads. Takes Reel sizes up to 10 1/2 Inches. Two Speed deck, 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 ips.
Rewind, Fast Forward, Play, Record, Pause, Counter All working Nicely.
Pinch Rollers are both in Excellent Shape and the pivot covers are intact and all looks fantastic.
--Wooden cabinet is in Good shape but does have a couple of small bangs, one on each side, the faceplate is nearly perfect other than just above the counter are some small scratches and the head cover has some light scratches and a small rub on the right hand side. All this can be seen in the pictures. Very clean and in great shape for its age. Very good looking machine that is around 38 years old, it is Outstanding.
This deck uses the Twist Reel Locks so No rubber reel holders to keep track of. Proud Looking Deck and will Enhance Any Living room for the Audio Enthusiast.
All knobs, tape guides, Feet etc are complete and original. Missing Nothing!
All Lamps Work including the RECORD, REW, FFD, PLAY PAUSE Buttons, all work as they should, Like New.
COMES WITH ORIGINAL SONY NAB LOCKING HUBS. Also included is a Scotch take Up Reel and one MAXELL UD 35-180 10 1/2 inch Reel Tape with box. It has been recorded on by another machine. Just Re-Record whatever you want.
