● The community-sourced national team rosters pursuing the Overwatch World Cup have a lot to be proud of as they head to Southern California for Opening Week and BlizzCon. After being named to a team and, in some cases, battling through regional qualifiers, they’re one step closer to jumpstarting a new chapter in esports.
● Adapting to shifting competitive trends, grappling with character updates, and facing strong competition, these national teams must devise and execute match-winning strategies if they hope to make it onto the BlizzCon stage. It’s a daunting prospect, but whether they’re established esports veterans or fresh faces on the scene, all of these players and teams have entire nations standing with them.
● The three global regions in the Overwatch World Cup—Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific—have yielded sixteen teams with a chance at BlizzCon glory. While their routes to this stage have varied, the path that’s before them now demands a new level of focus if they want to claim the Overwatch World Cup.
