This videos tells the tell of the devastating fire that started across form LakeCliff Country Club and ravaged Westbound on September 4, 2011 around 2 PM. Hwy 71 at the Pedernales bridge is still closed this morning as the fire jumped the highway took out several more homes and is threatning areas of the river banks of the Pedernales. Many homes on the North side of the river were lost to the fast moving blaze. Barton Creek Lakeside was spared by the Northern winds that pushed the fire Westbound rather than the Northbound prevailing winds we nomally see in Spicewood.
