CORRECTION:
At 4:22 I claimed that launching the game through the desktop version of Steam with the Controller on will default to the "desktop" Steam Overlay - effectively making editing the controller config impossible. This turned out to be false.
However, even when made sloppily, the point about Big Picture limitations still stands: with the way The Steam Overlay works, launching a game in desktop, _then_ deciding to play with the Steam Controller will result in the player being unable to change the preset without Alt-Tabbing (because the Overlay will not change to Big Picture)
