Sometimes we are lucky enough to get some new technology to play with and use in the classroom. The microphone I first received in my classroom was a hand-me-down from a teacher who had received a new one in their classroom. It took me about a week to really figure out that it was either on or not on, not to stand too close to the speaker, and to turn it off when I was in the hall. Once I got the hang of the microphone, it was super awesome: since then, I have only lost my voice on a few occasions.
