Well here we go with a very rustic and eclectic cedar limb birdhouse. The cedar is approx 6" round and 7" long. I am trying to just use a hollowed out portion of the limb as the place where the birds will make their nest and also keep the bark on the limb. I turned an piece of poplar as the roof of the birdhouse. I want to just screw the top on with wood screws so I can take the birdhouse apart to clean. Also I have added some lines with a skew and V-tool craving chisel to simulate a single roof.
