This is Part 4 of the SUP ATX Stand Up Paddle Journey from Malibu to Austin
To celebrate the launch of SUP ATX, a band of surfers embarked on a famed four day journey from Malibu, California to Austin, Texas to begin the mission of spreading the sport of stand up paddle surfing (SUP) from oceans to lakes and rivers across the United States and around the world, planting the sport permanently in Central Texas, and establishing Austin as the defacto "SUP Capital of the World". As an Austin, Texas based company, SUP ATX has since become the #1 stand up paddle board maker in the world. The journey was shot in high definition video and on 8mm film in the Summer of 2009, was Executive Produced by SUP ATX Founder Nick Matzorkis with Producer Drew Bachrach for FOXsports, and will be seen on FUEL TV in the Summer of 2010. A very special thanks goes out to fellow surfers and Malibu residents Anthony Kiedis and Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers for authorizing the use of their song, "Road Trippin" from their Californication CD as the title track.
