We have lots of exciting things to do today and to begin with, I want to show you this table top easel.
I've always just painted on a piece of gatorboard for watercolor and would prop it up at an angle with a box of tissue or a bucket or whatever I had around, and I thought "you know, I should get a little table top easel."
So I brought a Cheap Joe's Table Top Easel to show you. It folds up just like that so you can carry it, and has a little drawer right here so you can put your brushes, pencils, paints, whatever you want inside.
What I like about it is that it sits flat and the easel part lifts up about as high as you want it to go and will hold a full sheet of gatorboard or watercolor paper.
The top comes up and the bottom comes way down, so you can move up and down with it or side to side.
I usually paint at this angle right here. So I'll put my gatorboard here like this, my watercolor paper goes on top of that, and now I'm ready to begin my painting!
