I've always been a bit obsessed with Elephants. There was a time when I'd watch videos about them every single night- of their rescue, of how poorly they are treated at the circus or zoo, why it's bad to ride them- and I'd always wish I could make a trip to go see them and take care of them myself. Elephants are such amazing creatures. They are so smart and so loving. They possess incredible levels of EQ and they can remember EVERYTHING. They will know if you love them, or if you have hurt them in the past, and they will do everything they can to protect their families. This experience was such a beautiful one for me. I'm definitely ranking it as one of the best days of my life.
Slater and I booked the "Pamper a Pachyderm" package at Elephant Nature Park, which gave us a more intimate interaction with the Elephants.
