PLEASE READ BEFORE WATCHING!!
This is a tool-assisted speedrun of the original N64 version of Banjo-Kazooie. This is NOT me playing the game with a controller. Trust me, I'm not that good. For more information, see http://tasvideos.org/3260M.html. TAS originally published on 2016-11-14.
Please understand that this movie is not meant to claim a world record, and because of this, it is not "cheating". This run to put it simply, is the result of a sequence of game inputs that I created, being played back on an N64 emulator. The purpose of this movie is entertainment, not for the leaderboards. Again, this is not me physically playing the game. Please read this and watch before commenting.
Due to the number of comments comparing this run to Stivitybobo, I feel the need to mention that the final time of this run is in no way comparable. Yes, his WR is now faster than this run's TAS timing (I edited the RTA timing in the title which subtracts the intro cutscenes' 4:40 from the TAS time, which is still faster than RTA world record - you nerds can stop pointing this comparison out now). Stiv's world record now includes roughly 9 minutes of faster routes than this run, and Bizhawk loses a little over 2 minutes to loading zones to console runs. Game time is the best comparison to him. Stiv's game time is 1:52:xx, and this game time is 1:45:04, making this run nearly SEVEN minutes faster.
This TAS of Banjo-Kazooie completes the game 100% in 1:59:51.91 from power on to last input (TASvideos timing). Game time is 1:45:04. The current definition of 100% is to complete the totals screen, which is all jiggies, notes, and honeycombs, which this movie completes.
http://tasvideos.org/5229S.html please see TASvideos for a detailed description of the run including my personal comments. This TAS is my work and may not be redistributed without my permission.
