Hello everyone, in this video, we show you how to repair this interior plaster ceiling.
FYI, there are many Drywall compounds "gypsum-based products" that will work for small patches or a complete room plastering.
Westpac's drywall compound is a favorite brand.
USG's Easy Sand is another. Both are sold at most hardware stores and or plastering material yards. I prefer these as they have set times such as 20, 40, 60, minute set times, this allows me to buy the setting time I need.
BTW, I buy the bagged powders and just add water.
If you want sand in the plaster for extra strength buy, Structo-lite Basecoat is mill-mixed perlite-aggregate gypsum plaster. USG Structo-Lite Basecoat Plaster is mill-mixed, perlite-aggregate gypsum that weighs half as much as sanded basecoat plaster. It requires only the addition of water at the Jobsite. What is perlite? Structo-Lite takes between 2 to 5 hours to dry.
If I use this product, I add an accelerator as this product for patchwork sets too slow for me.

As a rule, I don't use any premixed products as most suck.
I know, "they are already mixed and save time," ole Kirks says, "there's no logic in saving time if the product fails and has to be redone."
The flooring in the attic was pulled up to inspect the ceiling.
This caused the extra insulation to steadily fall into my face to be sucked up my incredible hungry and what used to be healthy lungs.
You never know what's in that stuff, the only glasses I had available were my sunglasses.
I was grateful to at least have these to help save my eyeballs from that possible toxic stuff as is felt like snow falling without the chill.
