I am so overwhelmed and relieved I don't know whether to cry or scream with joy! As some of you know Lauren DeVaney main horse Tex was injured practicing her time-only's last Friday morning. Our number one concern was Tex's health and getting him ready for his first go on Monday at the NJHFR. As time progressed and his injury started to reveal itself we knew it wasn't looking good for Lauren to compete on him at all. My heart broke not only for Lauren but for the huge support team that work so hard all year to get them here! As my good friend Katie Tasker-Carr reminded me through it all "It takes a village!" and it certainly does! We've had our ups and downs the last 7 days just trying to get Tex healthy enough to make the 28+hour ride home. You can't imagine what has gone on behind the scenes while Lauren was making her runs on Dally! This morning was one of those scary moments where Tex took a turn for the worst, but I am happy to say at this moment he is doing better and hopefully we'll be able to leave as planned.
