The startup PlanGrid is tackling what some call the "insane paper" problem that the construction industry produces. Even with CAD (computer-aided design), architects, site managers and construction supervisors still have to lug around giant reams of blueprints in the field. CEO Ryan Sutton-Gee explains how PlanGrid can upload blueprints to an iPad, and enable construction teams to edit, update, tag photos and instantly share information as construction progresses. The solution is green: it saves reams of paper and hundreds of trees. More green news at http://www.freshdialogues.com
