Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy are producing with original writer Brian Lynch ("Minions") returning alongside director Chris Renaud ("Despicable Me" series, "Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax"). Jonathan Del Val serves as co-director.
Also featuring the voice talents Hannibal Buress, Dana Carvey, Patton Oswalt Harrison Ford, Tiffany Haddish, Lake Bell, Pete Holmes, Garth Jennings, Ellie Kemper, Nick Kroll, Bobby Moynihan, Jenny Slate and Eric Stonestreet, "The Secret Life of Pets" follows summer 2016’s blockbuster about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.
"The Secret Life of Pets 2" opens in theaters June 7, 2019.
