Producing and recording the music for the Parks Holiday Castle Lighting shows was a great experience, weaving different cultures into our own “Disney culture.” We explored the universal hymn aspect of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” since during the holiday season, what unites us are the joyful celebrations with families & friends creating everlasting memories around the world. For each castle, the music was recorded with the unique “Disney sound”, but with a nod to each one of the parks and their “country of residence.”
Hong Kong & Shanghai – full orchestra and choir, accompanied by traditional instruments. (For example: - Zither, Dizi flute, Erhu in Shanghai, a children choir is singing in Mandarin and in Hong Kong a soloist is singing in Cantonese).
Paris - full orchestra and choir, accompanied by traditional instruments. (For example - Accordion, Church Bells with our lead vocal singing in French.
Orlando and Anaheim – Classic Disney sound with full orchestra and choir. The composer tried capturing the memory of the first time he went to Disneyworld as a young child.
