Cloud Moves TV travelled to Portugal’s capital city of Lisbon for Europe’s largest technology marketplace – Web Summit. When it launched in 2009, 400 people turned up. In 2016 – 53,000 flooded through the doors. A staggering 15,000 companies attended, as did 7,000 CEO’s from over 166 countries. The Guardian said Web Summit ‘defines the ecosystem’, CNBC hailed it as being ‘the biggest event of its kind in Europe’ and Bloomberg coined it as being ‘Davos for geeks’.
