Hallandale Beach City Commissioners learned police tactics and training methods Monday, April 13, during an interactive day at the Broward County Police Academy. Three members of the Commission agreed to feel the "sting" of the Taser during an explanation of the use parameters for the weapon.
The commission witnessed a test on a Hallandale Beach Police recruit, then were hooked up and then given a two-second jolt from the Taser. Each member also was put in the "hot seat" during a police pursuit in the simulator, followed by a shoot don't shoot scenario.
