Filmed from Rawcliffe Road, about 200m West of Cartford Bridge.
The river was swollen as it had been raining for a couple of days. There was a derelict boat grounded in the the river. It had probably been deposited there by the previous high tide. The bore swung the boat around, but the boat didn’t move much further up the river, or at least not whilst I was there to observe.
The bore was quite high for the Wyre and moved fast, considering the river was swollen. Shaky video as it was taken with a hand held compact camera using zoom.
There was low pressure out at sea and a favourable wind.
