This was a test between the Top Dawg Night Vision IR Infrared Dash Cam DVR and a generic dash cam that cost less than $30.00 (including shipping 2 -3 day delivery) Uploaded at 720p it is unclear that the resolution of the generic camera is really 720p HD but the generic dash cam is definitely brighter, clearer, the colors are more apparent. You could read the bright business signs with the generic dash cam, but they were just a blur with the Top Dawg. The Top Dawg Dash Cam has a wider field of view and because of that I would say the the overall test was a draw. See the in house infrared test video I uploaded to see which camera has the best infrared feature. Too bad the night vision in both of these camera's appears to be subpar for supposed "night vision" cameras. Infrared capability is a little much to ask for in these small dash cams.
