This is the last minute of the 2017 total solar eclipse, captured near Jay Em, Wyoming (pop. 16). Listen to crickets in the background and gusty wind from this viewing location at 4,590 above sea level. At about 8:00, you can see tiny Mercury. Before the sun reappears, you can see the a strip of red light appear, called the chromosphere. When the sun reappears, you'll see an amazing special effect with a double image of the returning sun.
