The island of São Miguel has excellent landscapes, parks, lakes, spas, beautiful forests and well-maintained roads. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to see the most interesting places, like the lagoon of the seven cities, due to heavy rain, fog and wind.
As the guide explained during the trip, the road surroundings are maintained and cleaned during the year round by workers of the Department of Public Works and workers of the respective Chambers.
In Lagoa das Furnas we had lunch with a special dish cooked by natural steam.

A ilha de São Miguel tem excelentes paisagens, parques, lagos, termas, belas florestas e estradas bem conservadas. Infelizmente, o tempo não nos permitiu ver os lugares mais interessantes, como a lagoa das sete cidades, devido à chuva forte nevoeiro e vento.
Como o guia explicou durante a viagem, as circundantes das estradas são mantidas e limpas durante o ano por trabalhadores do Departamento de Obras Públicas e de trabalhadores das respectivas Câmaras.
Na Lagoa das Furnas almoçamos com um prato especial cozido a vapor natural.
