TimeGeo helps simulate urban mobility.
Urban mobility simulations, like this TimeGeo model of Boston, were conducted by Shan Jiang et al. Using cell phone data records, they were able to track how individuals move around major cities. For visualization purposes, only 1 percent of the 3.5 million individuals (aged 16 and over) living in the Boston metropolitan area are displayed in the video.
