“With any new company people have a lot of questions about investing their human capital,” said Bipul Sinha (@bipulsinha), founder and CEO, Rubrik in our conversation at the 2016 VMworld conference in Las Vegas.
When you’re a new company, and you’re looking to hire tech talent, you need to sell the vision of the company, added Sinha. Once that company becomes better known, as has been the case with Rubrik after its series C funding, the need to sell the company and its vision becomes less of a critical requirement to attract talent. At that point, the company’s brand precedes that need to sell to prospective employees.
On the subject of diversity, Dinha said, “We have been looking for diversity from day one because we believe that diversity creates a better company, it creates better decisions. You will have more input in the decision making because at the end of the day a company is a collective intelligence, not just one person’s thoughts and ideas.”
