Big Blue......Finally coming together......You're My Boy Blue!!
Check out the blue LED's, the camera gives you some idea but it looks so good in person. The light radiating from inside makes the blue paint on the body look like it has a candy finish. I did this more to get a kick out of my boys because I knew they would dig the lighting and it turns out, its really great looking and daddy likes it too :) The build is in progress and I still have some major components to install. The LEM dog carrier, the LEM differential upgrade, the LEM BEC housing, the Castle BEC, the Traxxas steel drive shaft and some cables are all in the mail. Once that all happens I will try to put some action videos in here. There are issues with the stock ESC getting warm. It hasn't shut itself down but I've been babying it until I get the BEC. I think its a combination of adding the Savox servos, adding series 40 Mudslingers and changing the gear ratio to 16/65. I want to be able to change pinions without worrying too much about the ESC so I'm going to hook up a BEC first and see if that alleviates the issue. Any suggestions are welcome.
The X MAXX is just a beast. I broke a toe link but it was out in the snow so surely the temp contributed to the break. It actually separated at the mold weld so I just glued it back and it held. Those rusted screws were a week old when I removed them from the X MAXX. The X MAXX upgrades are coming but the truck is really substantial out of the gate so I'm focusing on other projects right now. We've only done the cooling fans and RC Screwz kit.
Last night we picked out the RC4WD Gellande 2 D110 as our next project. We don't have a real scale crawler yet so that what's going on at the DreamBeaver RC Lab.
Last but not least is....A big thanks to my mail man....dude, you are a soldier. Enjoy and Happy RC'ing!!!
