In this video I demonstrate using an arbor press to reverse the shaft on a Turnigy D3542 1250KV, changing it from a front-mount motor to a rear-mount, which is necessary for mounting in an RC car or truck.
Why go to the trouble? A sensorless brushless outrunner makes for a very affordable motor for a crawler or scaler, more preferably for a scaler, as it won't be as smooth at crawling speed, as compared to a brushed motor, or sensored brushless motor, but will have incredible torque and longer run-times. For more information about using outrunners in scale trucks, I recommend visiting the Electronics thread on the forums at rccrawler.com.
