Some random clips of the twins taken over the last couple of weeks. Declan and Tayla are 18 months old and still growing so fast. They've both gone up a shoe size and just about into size 2 clothes now!
In the last month they've become so much more independent. They don't like it if you try to help them with their dinner, they have to feed themselves. Tayla is so determined to use her cutlery, if a piece of food falls off her fork she picks it up and puts it back on her plate and has another go... Declan is still a messy eater but he has been making more use of his cutlery lately.
They both love art activities like painting and drawing. The twins teachers at daycare have commented that as soon as they bring out the art supplies that Declan and Tayla come running and are always the first at the table. They also spend some days apart at daycare in separate rooms and there's been some great feedback from their teachers that they both enjoy their day and don't seem upset by being separated.
The twins are talking all the time now. There's still a LOT of baby talk but among it there is more and more recognizable words coming through. Some of the words they say clearly are Mumma, Daddy, teddy, Yes, No, Hi, Bye, Car, more, want, that, me, there, sit, down... and probably a few other words but i just can't think of them right now. They understand a lot more than what they can say. They're getting very good at following instructions which sure makes life a lot easier :)
