I was boared with this 80 meters max. distance of the UDI. I changed the dummy antenna for a small but real one from an old Wifi-card. I was curious about the difference, so I decided to go high even with wind.
Near ground I tried a couple of times to check the max. distance, but I always lost the quad between 250 - 280 meters because I couldn´t see it anymore against landscape.
Sorry it´s a windy and bumpy flight and it was so hard to descend without hearing the engines and being afraid to look away from this tiny spot in the air. Btw, ... the 808 HQ 30 is a fantastic cam, sadly the engines of the 818 are creating interference to the video of any cam I tried. I guess to get it clean will be a challenge....
